Hypopressives and Us
The Origins of Hypopressives
Hypopressives are not a new phenomenon—they have been around since the 1980s. Originally designed by Marcel Caufriez, the initial program was developed for post-natal women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction or pelvic organ prolapse.
Tamara Rial and Piti Pinsach further adapted Caufriez’s program to target the pelvic floor and the core. They integrated resistance and alignment work with a crucial breathing protocol. This evolution has led to the multi-disciplinary method taught by the International Hypopressive Council, a global network of top Hypopressive coaches.
The success of Hypopressives in Belgium, known as the Hypopressive Method, and in Spain and South America as Low-Pressure Fitness, has contributed to its widespread adoption. Now, under the guidance of the International Hypopressive Council, it is recognised worldwide for treating and preventing pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and other pelvic floor issues.
Inspired by the effectiveness of Hypopressives in treating my POP and incontinence, I trained to bring Hypopressives to Scotland. Now, I am dedicated to helping others benefit from this incredible method.
“Devoted teacher, incredible results within first week. No more getting up in the night to use the bathroom! Excellent. Highly recommend all her online classes. And as a teacher she is so relateable.”
